People think life is about having families, rearing children, and passing on wisdom. It's not. Those are merely by-products of life.
The meaning of life is to be *alive*. To live, to be alive, requires you to know all there is to know about yourself with brutal introspective honesty, and apply that to interpersonal relationships, so that you, and they, may grow.
In short, life *is* growth. The ever changing facade that we show others has to be stripped away, pruned without mercy, so that our real selves can grow outwards from within. Only then do you experience real growth. Only then are you *alive*.
