Interests & Hobbies
Meaning of Life:
Wasn't expecting to get hit with this one. Definitely have done a lot of thinking about this. Hard to say for sure what our meaning is... we work, we try to save, we try to plan for the future, yet it can all be taken from us in a moment. What's the point of planning for 10 years from now when you'll die in 6? What if you knew you'd be gone in 6 instead? Would that change how you plan your future?
All I know is I want to be the best person I can be today. I want to learn as much as I can today, treat everyone the best I can today, make the most out of today as I can. I understand the importance of setting future goals, and I do have future goals, but I also try to make today a good day, in case tomorrow is the day I go.
Call me optimistic or simple-minded, but because I can't speak to the universe to know what our purpose is, I'm just going to go with what feels right: to live with the purpose of making my life and the lives of those around me as happy and meaningful as possible, by being kind and respectful and trying to make as many people smile as possible. And here's to hoping I can bring a smile to your face, as well. Thank you.
Five Things I Can't Live Without:
I would have gone institutionally insane without my friends, so for sure my friends are #1. My phone has to be #2 because it is basically my lifeline: I use it for music, checking traffic, finding local grub, GPS for real-time traffic updates (and cops, if they're reported, LOVE YOU, WAZE), and googling whatever question crosses my mind at the moment. #3 is definitely food, I love food. One reason I workout is to offset the amount of food I eat. I suppose music has to be #4, I listen to music a lot; it's pretty cathartic the times I really need it to be. #5 is showers. I for certain cannot live without showers. I despise feeling grimy, have to shower at least daily and I'm grateful that i can.

Oh, that's embarrassing. I haven't read for pleasure in a while. Usually read school books, online "how-to"s, or self-help books!
What I Like To Do For Fun:
Hmm, figured this was pretty much covered in another question but probably what I enjoy the most is going out for joyrides, drawing, and being with my friends!
Favorite Songs:
I love electronic music way too much! It's almost a problem! I'm still open-minded and listen to just about anything, but EDM is my go-to for my driving music or when I zone out while doodling!
Favorite Movies:
I could probably watch Super Troopers and Idiocracy a million more times before I die and still never get tired of them. Don't laugh, but I also reaally enjoy the Penguins of Madagascar movie.
Craziest Thing I've Ever Done:
Oh man, I'm not a very crazy person! I see some of the things people do and I WISH I had the guts to do it! I've been in a few 1,000hp+ cars on the street, but that's about it! I've been parasailing before. Also zip-lined through trees in Mexico, that was kinda cool, but that was so long ago. Haha, sorry, I can't act like I'm a crazy girl!
If I Could Be Anywhere Right Now:
I'd be in Germany doing the studying I want ! Planning to hopefully be there in a year! I'd also love to be putting around Italy in a scooter right now! That would be amazing!
Hobbies:
I enjoy drawing and doodling! Feel free to ask me to doodle something for you and I will! If you like it enough, I can digitize it and send you a digital copy! I also can't get enough of talking about cars! I love to drive my babies! On my older car (1990), I'm not afraid to crack her open and fix issues on her. Not sure how some people can spend most of their paychecks on their cars, though, I enjoy eating too much! Can eating be a hobby? I also enjoy my beer. I live in Texas and there are so many breweries, distilleries, and wineries here right now! Love it!
I'm trying to think of any other hobbies I might have... maybe you might consider maintaining friendships a hobby? I'll spend 45 hours a week at work, 10 hours a week driving, but a lot of my time outside of work is spent with my friends! I love their company! And I love meeting people! I love to hear everyone's stories and get an idea where they come from! People absolutely fascinate me!
I try to go to the gym as often as possible. I love the gym! I've only recently gotten back into the swing of things, but I enjoy lifting weights way too much! Just started boxing and kickboxing classes and I'm really enjoying those, too!
Talents:
I could give you the "I'm talented in bed" spiel, but there's no way to really prove that here! So I'll give you more tangible talents!
My biggest talent has to be drawing. I love it! Had a friend describe watching me draw is like watching a spider weave a web; fascinating to watch.
I can clap with one hand.
I once ate an entire 22oz steak AND the side mashed potatoes!
Because I'm a lady I can probably get away with putting "I can fix my car" on here, hah! I know I'm not nearly as good as most people out there, but it's still fun to do sometimes!
Perfect Mate:
Oh lord, the perfect mate? Someone I can talk cars with for hours on end! That I can take a cruise with. Who doesn't take himself seriously (because I sure don't). Confident in his ideas and decisions. Someone silly as hell. Someone who know who they are!
Perfect Date:
I'm really low-maintenance! Probably a perfect date would be grabbing food and a drink or two some place relaxing, chatting for a bit after we finish our meals. Oh my god I'm so boring, aren't I?! I'm no good at dancing but maybe we could go somewhere and dance! I'm awful at it, but I'd try the heck out of salsa dancing! But no place too packed; my biggest pet peeve is overcrowded places. Maybe we could go back to one of our places afterwards for some more chit-chat :0) Or we could do less talking, if you like!
Turn Ons/Offs:
Haha, we'll stick to the turn-ons! I love humility. Someone who is down-to-Earth and understanding. Calm, collected. Someone that can laugh at themselves. Someone that is open-minded and can go with the flow! And someone who has that special *touch*; that electrifying touch that sends shivers down my spine. The teasing! Oh, the teasing! That's my favorite!
Best Reason to Get to Know Me:
Well, it's all subjective for each person, I suppose, but I really do try to be the best friend I can be for everyone. Probably to my own detriment, I am a people-pleaser. But it helps that I am fascinated by people, so I get fulfillment in most interactions with people! I do enjoy being silly, though. Please feel free to get me riled-up being silly, that's my favorite!!
