I am a free spirit and so I will be posting photos of myself in all my forms! I believe the body is a beautiful temple our soul gets to live in and that's why it is important to take good care of it so that we may live a long happy, healthy, and holy life! I don't think the body in and of itself is sexual, it's the energy we bring it. God makes no mistakes. We are all perfectly imperfect. Our bodies are beautiful to be cherished with no shame!

What is my room about?

My room is a sanctuary because it is a place of peace, of love, of total acceptance. I believe we are all exactly who and where we are meant to be. The struggles that we go through are all apart of it. They teach us lessons and help us grow. We are all blessed with unique gifts. My gift is in having a neutral mind. I am a teacher on a spiritual journey. I am here to serve by sharing what I have learned and helping others find that peace within themselves. I will be holding regular Kundalini yoga classes here on MFC and will make myself available as time permits for skype calls and private lessons. I am happy to help you in any way that I can and continue holding this sacred space for you on MFC. Please note that I will not be responding to personal messages during class as I find it distracting. Ask questions in the group space. Don't be afraid, this is a loving, open space and if you have a question, most likely someone else does do!

What is Yoga?

Yoga means "to unite." It's the union of the individual consciousness with the infinite consciousness. When we tap into that inner source it's like shackles being broken and we are free, filled with peace and happiness as endless as the ocean. The key to tapping into that source is releasing the blocks that are keeping that energy from flowing freely. Kundalini Yoga re-patterns the body systems, breaking down the energy blocks & simultaneously releases the mind. It's also known as the Yoga of Awareness. It breaks the blocks much quicker than other forms of yoga which all seek to raise the Kundalini energy. The awakened flowing energy brings a deep sense of the infinite and establishes our connection with our soul, giving us clarity, removing inner conflit and radiates in order to be happy. It's like taking out the garbage of our subconscious, so we experience the clarity of our soul, reduce stress, and develop our intution. The first qualification for Kundalini yoga is that you seek awareness that is moment to moment. It doesn't matter what shape you are in physically, or how flexible you are, you just start praticing and you will see significant improvement in your overall health, mental, and emotional well being.

Why am I teaching yoga on MFC you might ask?

My connection with the infinite has guided me here to be a teacher and a healer. My purpose is to help others find peace through knowing themselves and their own personal connection with the divine. I can't even begin to tell you how much being connected to my soul has changed my life for the better! I truly believe sharing what I've learned can help a lot of people on this site. My hope is to bring as many people into the light with me as I possibly can. Everyone has the right to be happy! It's our birthright!

Let's keep it real. Why do I practice yoga?

Yoga is something that I am passionate about because it has changed my life by changing the very lens that I perceive the world through. I came to yoga in a time of crisis shortly after the sudden death of my younger brother in a car accident. I was completely broken, shattered. But there are blessings in the brokenness. Most things in life are out of our control. What is in our control is our attitude and what we choose to do in the present moment. I would not be the person I am today if it were not for everything that I've went through in my life, so I am grateful for all of it.

Even before my brother died, I suffered from depression, anxiety and addictive habits. Yoga, Kundalini Yoga especially, has helped me free myself of so many fears and insecurities, bringing me to a place of peace, of contentment within myself. This was something that once alluded me, as if my happiness was always around the next corner, never here in the present moment. It didn't matter how successful I was in my work or in my relationships. There was always something missing. Ironically enough, practicing yoga I found out there was nothing missing at all, I just hadn't found it yet inside myself. What I found is there is a place inside of me that is connected to an infinite energy source which connects me to everything else, beyond space and time. It's inside of you too! It's inside of everyone! In yoga, we use Namaste as a greeting, which means the divine part of me honors the divine part of you.

What is Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan focuses on awakening your energy and unlocking your inner potential through specific breathing, movements, stretching, meditation, and mantra. This powerful effective form of Yoga is a great way to recharge and heal your body quickly. A typical Kundalini Yoga class will start and end with the most beautiful and ancient chants which open and calm the heart. Then we proceed with a carefully planned sequence of postures, movements and breathing exercises, called a kriya, that bring about quick and powerful transformation on all levels. Elevate and experience yourself through this ancient science!

Kundalini means awareness; the dormant energy of awareness is in you. Kundalini Yoga is the supreme technology to awaken that awareness and take you into your original Self. Awareness can be awakened and expanded. It can be extended to Infinity and yet you remain you.

The process of growth through Kundalini is a natural unfolding of your own nature. Practicing Kundalini, you will gain new perspectives, capacities, and habits that can support your expanded awareness. An important part of Kundalini is to develop the neutral mind and its capacity for intelligence, endurance and integrity.

Why Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini Yoga is thousands of years old and for me it is a yoga of a creative mind and loving heart, a yoga of transforming your energy into a focused aim. It is also about psychology. And it is broadly believed to be the only yoga that brings fast result. It has almost every element from the other yoga and is probably the most dynamic and musical one. Yes, indeed, we are going to sing!!!

Typical Kundalini Class

There is really nothing typical about Kundalini Yoga Class! Every Kundalini Class is different there are thousands of meditations and hundreds of Kriyas (set of specific exercises for a desired outcome) to choose from.

Tuning In

Each class begins with the mantra

ONG NAMO GURU DEV NAMO

This means, I call on the creative consciousness that spins the planets, grows the plants and trees and that also flows within me. I also call on my own inner wisdom within. Tuning in with this mantra sets and calms the mind.

We also chant the mantra of protection

Aad Guray Nameh

Jugaad Guray Nameh

Sat Guray Nameh

Siri Guroo Dayvay Nameh

This invokes the protective energy of the universe.

Kriyas

In each class you will practice a kriya (action), which is a combination of breathing, movement, mantra. Each kriya is a set of exercises practiced in a particular sequence to create a desired effect. For example, there are kriyas to release inner anger or fear, to strengthen your aura, to become intuitive etc. As long as you have a a breath in your body, you can receive the benefits.

Deep Relaxation

This is where all the magic happens! Where you relax for 7-11 minutes and let go of the old consciousness that is no longer serving you. All the energies become integrated in this deeply healing space.

Meditation

Meditations are usually 7-11 mins. We use mantra which is the repetition of sound and rhythm that directs and controls the mind. Man means mind; tra means wave or movement of the mind. These ancient sacred sounds have a profound healing affect on the being. There are many meditation for letting go of the past, clearing stress, for a calm heart, breaking depression, lowering blood pressure, self acceptance , clearing karma and much more ! Many students of of this technology are drawn to the beautiful healing sound current.

Closing

We finish each class with the song Long Time Sun. This song of blessing helps to ground you, to integrate the benefits of the yoga, and to prepare you to resume the activities of everyday life.

Sat Nam

Sat Nam is another mantra that we use in every Kundalini class. It means My true identity is infinity. Sat means essence or truth, while Nam means name or identity.

Favorite Songs: Snatam Kaur "Ong Namo" is a beautiful song. Jewel is my favorite artist. I like Indie, Electrotechno, Reggae, Country, Spiritual music, Listening to Kundalini Mantras, and anything that makes me wanna move my hips!
Favorite Movies: Dirty Dancing, Memento, Bruce Almighty, Bucket List, Butterfly Effect, Shawshank Redemption, Awake: Yogananda Movie, I Am and With One Voice documentaries on Netflix.
Craziest Thing I've Ever Done: Depends on who you ask. I march to the beat of my own drum. The fact that I jumped out of an airplane or enjoyed a variety of sexual experiences outside the norm may be crazy to some. The way I live my life, by faith, unafraid to step out of my comfort zone and confront challenges may be crazy to others. You decide!
If I Could Be Anywhere Right Now: Exactly where I am.
Hobbies: Meditation, yoga, singing, piano, painting, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, cooking, gardening, juicing, taking baths, sailing, traveling, stretching and rolling around on my mat, my rug, in the grass or in the sand!
