The Athenian schools turned this to a more humanistic study, examining things in relation to the human mind, giving rise to modern western philosophy. While it is tempting to think philosophy then grew and peaked in the early 20th century, the greatest truths of our universe are yet to be discovered and we may never find an approach that yields the answer to this greatest of question.
