Meaning of Life:
To leave behind something memorable that lasts longer than your lifespan, which is my intent. For some, it's having a position of power - being remembered by what they've accomplished. For others, it's leaving behind a family. There are those who want to shape society (and the future) by leaving their mark in other ways, such as art or music - one of my favorite artists, Halsey, had some great lyrics about that in particular: I'm well acquainted/With villains that live in my bed/They beg me to write them/So they'll never die when I'm dead/And I've grown familiar/With villains that live in my head/They beg me to write them/So I'll never die when I'm dead. So, really, it's like that. We all want to throw in our two cents to further the progression of our species. It might sound cynical, like, "that's all there is," but it's much more meaningful and complex than that - of all the billions of people out there, everyone is leaving something for the future to find and/or be shaped by. Everyone is a part of that, for better or for worse, and that's pretty great.
