Natsuo Kirino's crime fiction! My favorite manga is Battle Angel Alita. I also read a lot of nonfiction about sociology and philosophy. Right now I'm reading Automating Inequality: How High-Tech Tools Profile, Police, and Punish the Poor by Virginia Eubanks.

Please recommend me music!!! All time faves: Clarence Clarity, IC3PEAK, Perfume Genius, Ichiko Aoba, Sade, Cocteau Twins, Homeshake... Lately listening to a lot of Japanese shoegaze. Sum Bout U by 65ar ft. FKA Twigs is the camgirl anthem though, music video and all.
Favorite Movies:
Yes, Madam! (1985), Run Lola Run (1998), Mulholland Drive (2001), Metropolis (2002), The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006), and anything by Bong Joon-ho, Satoshi Kon or Studio Ghibli. As for horror movies, my tastes vary wildly from the psychological and strange (Livide, Noroi: The Curse) to the campiest of sequels (Slumber Party Massacre 2, Hellraiser 2). Currently watching Spider Lilies (2007), a lesbian love story from Taiwan between a camgirl and a tattoo artist.
