Helpful Hints for New Models
Private Messages
1) Prems will PM the hell out of you because you are a new model. This takes your attention from the Chat room. PMing Prems rarely tip and they will almost all disappear when your New Model tag is gone. If they say they 'prefer to chat privately' - make them take you private, don't waste your time for free in PMs.
2) At some point, you will want to limit PMs to friends only. You can post that it cost 50 or 100 tokens to be added to your friends list....but you should unfriend anyone who only wants to PM. Under your Model Menu, look at the bottom left...go to Options, in Options, go to Chat Options, then click Only Friends. everything else leave unchecked. Also, look for the PM Manager option to combine PMs into a single window (to stop all of those annoying pop-ups)
3) Stay focused on the chatroom - at least 85% of the time - a boring chatroom causes people to come and go quickly (boring includes spending too much time in PM). Develop friendships with people who like to talk in the chatroom and try to keep conversation going in your room.
4) Avoid the 'quick PM' requests or 'PM to discuss show' - more often than not, these are a waste of time for you to add the friend and have the discussion. Have the member send you an MFC mail or use a private Tip Note to send their request/proposal.
Guest and Basic Chat
5) Mute Guests (Allow Guest Chat = No) and Mute Basics are good buttons to know when the room becomes unruly with them
6) Many Prems will tell you to Mute Basics and Guests. It is a good idea to do that when they get out of control. However, I see models who do that and sit alone, bored in their rooms. Don't kill Basics and Guests until your room is busier. Learn how to BAN and use it on the obnoxious Basics and Guests.
7) Find the BAN button - you can ban Prems, Basics, and Guests - I think banning Guests is a slightly different process - use BAN to remove the shitheads and keep control of your room. Contrary to what some studios may tell you, Bans do not directly affect your camscore
Your Sales Tools - Topics, Profiles, Newsfeeds
8) Post a Topic - anything from what you want to talk about to 'Tip if you like me, Grp/Pvt On' or you can set tip goals 'Topless 200/ Naked 500/Friend Add 100'
9) Your profile is a sales tool - more pictures, maybe a little more about you and what you will and won't do, eventually adding screen shots of high tips to your galleries, etc. Spend a little time - make it sexy and flashy.
10) Newsfeeds can be used as a tool to attract members to your room. I have seen Newsfeeds that range from 'Hey, I am new here. Hot blonde looking for friends' to 'One more for group' to '200 tokens until public squirt show' in the Newsfeeds. Try it out with your own sales pitch (80 character maximum).
Private and Group Shows (including Skype)
11) Forget the 'hard sell' for privates and groups - if you are pretty and if you show personality in chat, the private invitations and group shows will come without you asking, begging, or demanding them. Models who respond to everything with 'Let's go to group' and 'Take me Pvt' do not do well on MFC
12) Before accepting every private and group invitation, consider what is going on in your room. You may have spent hours getting members into your room and when you go into private or group, most of them will be gone when you return from private or group. If you are getting a lot of public tips, accepting an invitation might not be the right choice, unless the member if guaranteeing a long private.
13) Skype for PayPal or for something from your Amazon Wishlist is almost always someone who wants to cheat you. Members, Basics, and guest will all offer these. What happens is that you see the payment or purchase, you do the show, then they deny the payment or cancel the purchase. WU/Western Union - if you are crazy enough to give your full name and city to a stranger for just the promise of a payment, you probably will not last long on MFC.
How to act in your chatroom
14) Be yourself and be true to yourself - don't let the requests and demands of users force you to do something that you are uncomfortable with. There is lots of easy pussy, tits, and ass to see on MFC, but there is only one YOU. Members may come in because of a show or because of an active/fun chat, but they come back many times if they like your personality and they have fun in your room
15) Focus on chat - oh...I already said that didn't I? It is REALLY important...have fun and make sure you have a fun room. There are a lot of guys who are like me and tip for smiles, too. If you haven't done it, login as a guest and look in top models' rooms. What you will see is that they constantly interact with their rooms and have developed some strong bonds with their fans.
16) Smile - you are on cam! Even if your room is slow, smile!! You want to appear friendly and approachable. If you are bored, allow guests and Basics to talk to you. A little chat in the room will probably causes some Premiums to stop in your room.
17) English or Spanish, PLEASE! - In most chatrooms, English is the preferred language. Spanish seems to be second. When Prems enter a room, if they don't understand the chat, (for example, it is in Romanian, Russian, Hungarian, etc.) they click to the next model. What is worse is that the guys who want to talk to the model in their native language are usually Basics - so they can't even tip. It might be comfortable to use your native language, but it won't be profitable.
18) Avoid 'Second Site Death' - it is almost impossible to work two sites at the same time and do well on both. When you are paying attention to one site, you are ignoring the other and, by ignoring one, you are losing paying customers who come in your room and leave because you did not say Hi. If you want to work two sites, logoff of MFC and work the second site when MFC is slow.
19) Don't call me 'BB' or 'Baby'. To develop friends and fans, look at the nicknames and pick out some part of the user name. For this ID, call me 'IFB' ot 'FAKE'...use the whole name or the first 3 to 5 characters of the user name for saying 'Hi'.
20) Talk, type, interact, smile, laugh, dance, make faces, be silly - It is a hard job and you need to find a way to have fun doing it. If you are having fun, then guys will be more inclined to come to your room and stay. Don't just sit and expect something to happen.
Your New Model Tag
Right now, you have a 'New Model' tag that will be there for something like 3 days or 10 hours of online time. You are getting a lot of traffic from guests, basics, and prems who cruise the New Model rooms. If the model is pretty (and smiling or talking) and the room is active with chat, then people tend to stop to see how easy the model is to interact with. That interaction is important, because you will begin to develop relationships with new friends and fans. Yes, people stop in rooms for free shows, but they STAY in rooms when they can talk to the model and have fun chatting with with others.
When your new model tag expires, you need to have built a sufficient base of fans and regulars to sustain your room. You want people as friends and fans who like to talk in public and will talk with other members in the room...so they aren't totally needy and dependent on 100% of your attention. Those damned PMs cause a lot of new models to end up in what I call 'PM Purgatory' - the staging area between heaven and hell. If they spend too much time in PMs, their rooms are boring and they end up with only a couple of fans or regulars. From there, their camscores drop to well below 1000 and they end up on page 4 or 5 of the model display (the home page is where top models are).
That Damned Camscore
Camscore is a calculation that is mostly based on your total revenue (tokens you receive) for a time period compared to the total revenue of other models who are online at the same time. Models on the home page have the highest camscores and, by virtue of being on the Home Page, also get more traffic in their rooms - so they make more revenue and their camscores increase...etc, etc, etc...
Making Friends and Fans
If you login as a guest and look in top model rooms, you will see members who talk to each other and like each other. It becomes a camaraderie supporting the model. Top models don't spend a lot of time in PMs, but they do use PMs to deepen friendships and relationships without letting PMs consume them. Top models also don't have to spend a lot of time in private sessions or group shows because they get a lot of their tips in public chat. Some of them do use public shows to increase the traffic in their rooms, but shows are not a requirement. Top Models are 'approachable' - people new to the room see that the model is friendly, fun, and talks to everyone. There are non-nude models who make a descent income from MFC, just because they are approachable and their friends and fans tip them just for their time.
Safety,Security, and Privacy
You are probably smart, funny, and beautiful, so you have the potential to do well on MFC. Keep your guard up, trust no one, and always keep your personal information private.
One of my model friends just had a regular in her room who had a lot of her personal information turn into a whacko stalker because she refused to meet him on a trip she had planned. He had her personal email and Facebook and started posting crap to her Facebook and trying to friend all of her friends so he could mail screen caps of private sessions. If you do decide to add Facebook, Twitter, or give you an email address to 'friends' on MFC - please, please, please set those accounts up as some variation of your model name or another fake name.
It is also advisable to NOT click on any links sent to you because, for instance, someone might send you a link to their picture or personal website, but the link can capture your IP address and that information can be used to try to hack your systems and find more about your location. If the link is to a known domain like youtube, then it is OK.
One other thing that you should consider doing quickly is getting a piece of software that allows you to display a copyright banner on your cam image. MFC is full of guys who record public, group, and private shows and then posting them on file sharing sites. The copyright will not stop them from doing it, but it will cause some sites to delete them as soon as someone notifies them of the copyright. Most of that software will allow you to position the copyright anywhere on the screen - so you have to think about that to make sure that a recorder can't just crop the copyright out of the video.
There is an option somewhere in your model menu - likely under a heading like privacy options or private show options that you might want to look for. For Premium members, MFC creates a private gallery that includes 3 screen caps of random models' private shows. Both members and models have a similar option, and if one of them(either member or model) is turned off, then the screen caps of the private show for that member/model is never included in private galleries. For members, the option is under the following text:
'Would you like to exclude your private sessions from inclusion in the Exclusive Private Gallery?'
If you select whatever the model version of that option is, then your privates will not be shared with random members. For nude, hardcore models, it is like publicity shots - for models that aren't hardcore or just prefer not to have so many pics floating around, many have the option turned off. You might prefer not to have screen caps of your privates shared.
Privates versus True Privates
Privates cost the Prem 60 tokens per minute. True Privates cost the Prem 80 tokens a minute. Other Prems can 'spy' on and record Privates, but they can not spy on True Privates. If you don't want spies, you can also refuse privates and accept only true privates. You can also limit what you will do in private to less than what you are willing to do in the True Private.
The Money Value of Tokens (in US Dollars)
How much will you earn on MFC? Here is the simple math - every token you earn will get about 5 cents for you (and the studio, if you are a studio model). If you work for yourself, 100 tokens equals about $5 US. If you work for a studio, then the studio gets part of that and you get the rest.
On MFC, there is a shift of power. On the street, women have all of the power in sex because they have the pussy that every man wants. On MFC, the power is in the tokens that every model wants - so the Premium members who have the tokens have the power.
