Interests & Hobbies
Meaning of Life:
To live.
Five Things I Can't Live Without:
Pen
Paper
Books
Sewing Needle
The Moon
Favorite Books:
I mostly read non-fiction about human behavior, healing, and ancient religions. My newest interest has been reading about New England history, especially as it relates to the Salem witch trials and colonization. As far as fiction goes, I will read anything written by Margaret Atwood. Stephen King is my next author to explore because the 2018 IT film absolutely blew my mind away and I must jump on the bandwagon.
What I Like To Do For Fun:
See live music, have solo-dance parties, hang out on lakes, hike in the woods, and get lost in used book stores.
Favorite Songs:
I listen to a variety of music. I like ANY music I can dance to. If it's country, it *has* to be bluegrass or classic (Johnny Cash style). I like softer versions of metal, like WindHand. Listen to a lot of Childish Gambino, Glass Animals, Marian Hill, and Black Violin at the moment.
Favorite Movies:
Collateral Beauty, Dirty Dancing, and Beaches [big Bette Midler fan]. Too many documentaries to choose from, Blackfish easily being in the top 3, along with What the Bleep Do We Know?!
Craziest Thing I've Ever Done:
I'm still waiting for this to happen...I did almost accidentally join a cult once.
If I Could Be Anywhere Right Now:
Redwood Forest
Hobbies:
Textile arts (embroidery, crochet, sewing, quilting), reading, writing (essay, poetry, prose), and pursing my individual studies in ancient religions, healing, and spirituality.
I have been playing cards since before I can remember. My favorite card games are cribbage, blackjack, and 500.
Talents:
Writer, artist, yoga.
Perfect Mate:
Kind, hilarious, and wicked smart; Someone who can keep up with my ever-changing interests and wildness.
Perfect Date:
Getting dropped off downtown and exploring a city - letting the universe show us what it wants us to see. Possibly run into a great jazz band or find an amazing burlesque show.
Turn Ons/Offs:
Turn Ons: Intelligence, wit, passion, and acceptance
Turn Offs: Misogynistic tendencies, arrogance, ignorance
Best Reason to Get to Know Me:
