There are so many points of view regarding this: the primary goal is to pass on our genetic code, to multiply, just as a simple cell. We may be complex life-forms, but in the end surviving is still our common objective.
What is life? What makes us alive? Are the feelings making us think that we are alive, or the energy we produce?

I mainly like sci-fi books or the ones that stand out. Here are some examples:
Dune - Frank Herbert
The Universe in a Nutshell & A Brief History of Time - Stephen Hawking
A rebours - Huysmans
These are just some of the most important titles but some other authors I have read are Schrodinger, Tolkien, Paul Davies, Arthur C. Clarke, etc

I listen to a variety of genres, from grindcore & death metal to Techno, Trance and Experimental, but my favorite genres will be hardcore, frenchcore, tek, crossbreed.
