Meaning of Life:
How many lives are better off because you lived?
"What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal."
"Get around people who have something of value to share with you. Their impact will continue to have a significant effect on your life long after they have departed."
Five Things I Can't Live Without:
"True friendship multiplies the good in life and divides its evils. Strive to have friends, for life without friends is like life on a desert island... to find one real friend in a lifetime is good fortune; to keep them is a blessing.."
Can't live without. This might seem kinda cheesy, but it's the honest truth. The only thing I can't live without is my friends and family and the people I care for. It is better living in a tent on a beach with someone you love, than a mansion by yourself. But for the questions sake... things i can't live without... i guess internet,. cigarettes (the day you realize you're really addicted is a tough one), my gun (don't ask me why, but it's within arm's reach even in the shower), my words (some people can draw, my art form is with words. I fully intend on getting at least one book published before the day i die), do my pets count? or do they fall under loved ones? umm, thats it, I can do without most things and be perfectly ok.
Favorite Books:
25 Ways to Win with People - John Maxwell
Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus - John Gray
Five Love Languages - Gary Chapman
Heart of Darkness - Joseph Conrad
The Good Earth - Pearl Buck
What I Like To Do For Fun:
I love sports. Football and basketball easily my favorite. I like movies and tv, but I suppose everyone does. I really like to read. I'm fascinated by people. Why people think they way the think . Why we do the things we do. What events in our lives lead us to the point we're at now. I also love to write. I really like just being in good company. I don't like being alone for long periods of time.
Favorite Movies:
Too many to name, but will list a few... Braveheart, Fight Club, Dead Poets Society, Platoon, Rocky, The Big Lebowski, Reservoir Dogs
Craziest Thing I've Ever Done:
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
It's a matter of perspective I suppose. Done plenty of things I'm not too proud of. Way too many to count. The craziest things probably involved drugs and alcohol in my younger days which means the possibilities are endless...
If I Could Be Anywhere Right Now:
"You have to risk going too far, to discover just how far you can really go."
Why go back to somewhere you've already been? I've seem some amazing places in my life, but I guess I am more excited about where I haven't been. If I could be anywhere right now wouldn't be because of a location as much as a person...
Hobbies:
It used to be easy to answer this question. Sports of any kind, weightlifting, i like to write creatively and non fiction. I like to learn about stuff. To learn new things. In the internet age, we have information available to us at our fingertips that the history of mankind has ever had before...
Talents:
It's hard to evaluate yourself. I'm pretty athletic. I used to play a lot of paintball, I thought I was good. I dabbled with boxing and jiu jitsu. Not the greatest, but I wouldn't want to mess with me. I'd like to think I have a decent vocabulary and grasp of the english language. Umm, I consider myself a jack of all trades I guess as far as carpentry skills and working on cars etc. Really a question for someone else to answer.
Perfect Mate:
"To the world, you may be one person; but to one person, you may be the world"
Not sure how you're supposed to answer this exactly. Define perfect. It's not about how many times you say I love you. It's about how many times you prove it.
Perfect Date:
Never thought of a hypothetical perfect date before. my favorite "date" was for my lady's birthday I took her to a movie, then dropped her off for a massage and manicure/pedicure. Then took her out to dinner. Afterwards we drove down to the beach until the sun came up. It's honestly not about what you do, but rather who you're doing it with that determines how special something is.
Turn Ons/Offs:
I don't care for people that have no respect for their elders. I think it shows extremely low moral character. But then again some people really dont deserve people's respect. Turn ons seems like a pretty personal question and I don't really have any other major turn offs. I hate hate hate nailbiting i guess...
Best Reason to Get to Know Me:
When you fall down, I'll be with you
When it's dark, I'm going to light a light for you.
When you're tired, I'm going to pick you up
I'll run with you. I'll bleed with you.
You will never be alone.
I'll be with you when you're up, up high.
But when you're down, when they've all left.
I'll be with you... always...
