Meaning of Life:
Ah, the easy questions. Life is not meant to be lived. It is meant to be grabbed, thrown in the trunk, driven somewhere off the beaten path and beaten and starved into what you want out of it.
Five Things I Can't Live Without:
My friends, my animals, air, food and water
Favorite Books:
I read constantly. I try to do my best to not limit what I read so I am open to any and all suggestions.
What I Like To Do For Fun:
Right now, not much. Spending all of my time working. I do come here to hang occasionally and I read a lot.
Favorite Songs:
I will listen to most anything but I grew up with and still have a passion for 80's hair metal and southern rock.
Favorite Movies:
I grew up watching all of the classic and not so classic horror flicks of the 70's and 80's. But if I had to choose a favorite movie it would probably end up being something along the lines of Hawk the Slayer or maybe Ladyhawk.
Craziest Thing I've Ever Done:
Two years ago or so I went on a two week bigfoot hunting expedition with a good friend of mine. We spent our time wandering along the border of WA/Idaho. Just trying to get on his level.
If I Could Be Anywhere Right Now:
I would love love love to be back in Port Angeles, WA again. Or maybe Seattle with friends. Or South Carolina with my brother. Did I mention anywhere in Alaska, Maine or Montana?
Hobbies:
Reading, working, spending time along the New River and sometimes the AT. Also a part time Bigfoot hunter and done a bit of ghost chasing in my time.
Talents:
I am a whiz with anything mechanical/technical. I spend my days now working on Volvo trucks but semi retired from the telco industry.
Perfect Mate:
I have no idea. I take people for who they are most times. I try my best to not limit myself to one specific 'type' of person. I love interesting conversation, someone who knows who they are and what they want and must be able to laugh even when the situation may not warrant it.
Perfect Date:
I once spent an entire month planning a date with a lady friend of mine to celebrate her birthday. It started with a trip to St. Augustine, FL. Spent a three day weekend sitting on the beach, eating dinners on the pier and trying out all the night life we could find. On the way home we stopped in Atlanta, GA to see her favorite musical act in concert. It was all a total surprise to her.
Then again, with another friend, we stopped at the local hot dog stand. Grabbed some dogs, some drinks and spent an entire afternoon sitting at a picnic table next to the New River talking and just enjoying each others company.
The perfect date has nothing to do with what you do, its all about who you do it with.
Turn Ons/Offs:
Eh, turn ons for me are wide and varied. I do think that intelligent conversation is right up there for me though. Oh and I am a bit of an 'ass' man.
Turn offs would probably be someone who thinks to much of themselves or thinks to little..
Best Reason to Get to Know Me:
I like to think I am an interesting conversationalist. I come from a long line of Southern story tellers ;) I have a great if sometimes off beat sense of humor and like to think that I have a way with my story telling that brings people along on what I am seeing.
