This isn't about me it's about you. So you're a cam model. Is it going well for you? Could it be going better? Are you serious about camming or are you just in it for a few bucks and some thrills? If you're just in it for the thrills read no further. However if you want to make the most out of this then read on. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I know you heard that quote but what it means is this. There are some models on the top row that make big MFC bucks but trust me they have nothing you don't have. Plenty of those girls are ugly to average or unremarkable in any way( no I won't name them, I'm not about putting people down). Trust me there's nothing different about them that makes them better then you. No you don't need a boob job no you don't need a face lift no you don't need Botox. All you need is a willingness to work hard. All you need is to commit to cam modeling like they did (hell some of them haven't done that much). I'll tell you how to be a better cam model. Most of what I write down here is already widely know by the better models on this site or any other. Some people just have whatever that instinct is that makes them successful at camming. If you are having a hard time at this follow this plan I'm about to give you and I bet you do better then you are right now...First compartmentalize your professional life from your personal life. If you are already a cam girl on this site you should have already done this. If not you should have your personal email and your camming email separate. And the 2 should never cross paths. I'm sure I don't need to tell you why. So for now on if I say anything about email I'm talking about your camming email... Next keep a positive attitude. I know it's hard sometimes but members are looking for a cretin kind of escape when they log into a cam site. If your having a bad day take it out on your boyfriend/husband or your kid or talk to a therapist. I don't know what you should do just don't take it out on members who want to give you their money. Everyone has a way of lifting their spirits use yours before you come on cam. Whether it's a song or a clip on youtube or whatever it is you need to do to be positive do it and stay that way. Personally I use the Barney Stinson video resume, but that's just me. If you can't. Fake it until you make it. Don't let trolls or random assholes get you down or affect the mood of your chat room (just ban them). That's very important... Next make sure your equipment and work space is up to snuff before you log on. You can even do this by checking everything on camyou before you log into mfc. It helps if the time you spend broadcasting live to make money is productive time. The more time you have to spend adjusting and fiddling with your equipment or getting things you forgot the less time you're working on your show. I brought up camyou because it's a great tool (more on that latter) you can use to help do just that. Don't just snub your nose up at it use it to make you better. Make sure your office is clean and looks nice on cam. Have something to drink and maybe snack on near by just in case you need it (and you might). Sitting under hot lights talking and performing will make you thirsty. Neatness counts so your space should be comfortable for you and pleasing to the eye for members. Minimize clutter but have the things you will need handy. Like towels lube and toys etc. ...Next. The thing every model needs to know early on is "Content Content Content". Photo galleries and videos are your best friends. You should make as much content for MFC share as possable b4 your 1st day but trust me even if it's after your first day it's not too late to start. In fact you should always be making new content. Any opportunity you get to do a photo shoot "TAKE IT". Any opportunity you have to shoot a new video "TAKE IT." Content will help you get tips A LOT. I'm not saying do things you're uncomfortable with or do them with people you don't trust. I'm saying do them on your own every chance you get with people you can count on (even if that's just you). Plenty of guys would love to buy solo videos of you. Use that. Also hold some content back because you're not getting younger. This is what I mean. Unseen video content from when you're 18 when you're in your mid to late 20's is a selling point. In fact any content from younger days is a selling point, but ONLY if no one has seen it before. Because the guys most likely to buy it are guys who bought your content in the past. So make lots of content and hold some back for a future day. Don't stress out if you have no idea what kind of content to make. There's nothing new under the sun. What that means is do research, or watch porn. That's right watch porn on a porn site and rip off those ideas. Look for trending ideas look for ways to add your own flare to videos and photos. Ideas don't need to be new they need to be in HD or 4K or the next high quality format that comes out. And who knows you might just come up with a special twist on an idea if your a creative person ... Next broadcast live in your chat room. This may be the hardest part. Many models struggle with this. But really it's not hard and it really is hard at the same time. So this is what I'll tell you. Look happy flirt smile and most importantly be active. It really is that simple don't just sit in one spot with a blank look on your face hopping it will start raining tokens. Do something to get noticed and keep this in mind every camgirl on mfc has a pussy too. So TRY to do something that will make you stand out. I suggest being active in some way. Jumping jacks, playing piano, dancing just do something. Most likely you're gonna have to draw on your life experience to get members in. So if you are a stand out basketball player or cheerleader or barista find a way to add it to your chat room experience. Members are in your room for YOU there is something about YOU they already like. So be friendly positive and active and your chat room will be a good one. Also keep in open mind. Men are pigs you know that already. Try your best not to judge them and give them what they want without making people feel like the pigs they are. If lots of guys keep telling you how wonderful your feet are and you think your feet are nothing special maybe you're the one who is wrong (that's just an example). Find a way to make your chat room fun and about you without making guys know how gross they are. Also it will help you a lot If you set up a consistent schedule to work. No successful company on earth works willy-nilly. If your a night owl that's fine if you always sleep in that's fine if your wake early and like to get everything in your life done early that's fine make a schedule that's right for you and STICK TO IT. Give guys a chance to know exactly where you'll be everyday so they can be ready to pay you everyday. Tell guys when you're gonna take time off and when (if ever you're gonna be back) don't let your guys give some other model your money. Things change fast online so be consistent. The last thing you want is to lose a whale cause you don't want to be on cam at the time everyone expects you to be online. Also and I know this part may be hard but I never said I'll give you an easy way to be a cam model. You should be online at the very least 4 hours. Your schedule should be put together in such a way that you are able to work 4 straight hours online. Yes I know you have lots of videos to make shows to plan and other off camera stuff to do. You work for yourself and it's all up to you so if you want to be a model that makes more then you're making now 4 hours minimum is what you should be online. .... Next. This is a hard one for a lot of models. Branding. I know it sounds like you're a cow waiting for the rancher to burn your ass with a hot piece of iron but it's not that bad. All it means is delivering a consistent product to your costumers even at a glance. "But what do I have to brand?". So you're a skinny, braces having, glasses wearing, comic loving, art girl. Guess what that's a good brand. Whatever you are is a good base to start you're brand. From lusty busty blond to skinny quaky nerd will work, and any thing else you are. All you really need to do is embrace who who are and then make high quality content to support it. Now you are ready to show the world how much better then the other cam girls you are. Come up with a logo. Is that to hard for you? Don't worry just type in your stage name into a website that specializes in making logos and they will make one for you. There are really websites out there that do that for a small fee (look them up jeez do I gotta do everything). Make your chat room all about the sexy quaky passionate coffee loving girl you are add your logo (somewhere always insight) and you have you're brand. Now make GIF's & meme's of you doing all those things that define you and what your chat room is about. Make them of those videos I said make earlier.Honestly it not a lot of hard work but it will take some time but the payoff is there. Added benefit a copyright logo will help you keep unauthorized recorded content of yours off the net (you will still need to be diligent in making that happen but it will be easier). By creating a brand and logo you are saying not only am I the great comic loving upskirt showing girl you love. But I'm also willing to protect myself. So to recap embrace who you are and what your room is, make a logo, then make GIF's & meme's of your quarks I'm not saying be someone you're not I'm saying think about "The Rock" vs. Dwayne Johnson. The rock is a persona Dwayne Johnson plays but some part of Dwayne Johnson is in "The Rock". .... Next research research research. You gotta do research. Pepsi doesn't ignore Cock-Cola, they watch what they are doing like a hawk watches a rabbit. Once a month at the very least you need to spend time watching what other models are doing. Watching what other content makers are posting on tube sites. Reading what other are saying. Looking for new ideas to add or change about your room. Research will keep you at the very least current with what has changed about camming. Don't get left behind because you are unwilling to pay attention. This is no minor step that should be over looked. This is something lots of cam models over look they stay stuck in what worked in the past, and when things change they don't change with them, and things change fast on the net. So watch other cam girls watch the tube sites watch Hollywood read magazines listen to what others are saying stay current on your business because keep this in mind there is some cam model out there right now who is younger prettier and flat broke who has nothing better to do then watch how you are making big money. A rising tide may very well lift all boats but extra weight sinks more. Don't let the extra weight of laziness sink your boat. Keep doing research I'm not saying change the core of who you are I'm saying be ready to adjust your tactics..... Next this is a "BIG" one. One so Big it's hard for me to understand how so many have flat out gotten it wrong or forgotten it all together. Or worse don't understand the value of it. So many mistakes are made on this one you need to read everything you can find on it wherever you can find it. IT'S THAT IMPORTANT. Socialize on social media. Yes you should be advertising your videos on social media. Yes you should promoting your deals on social media. NO THAT IS NOT ALL YOU SHOULD BE DOING ON SOCIAL MEDIA. Lots of models have some social media page somewhere they will beg you to follow them. Then the member follows them and the only FUCKING thing posted is " Get my new Fuck my ass video on manyvids."or "Be online in 5 minutes" WTF? Are you serious about this camming thing or not? Nothing makes me more upset then following someone on twitter who only has things like what I just said above. It's not cute. At All. So here is what you need to do with your twitter account. Your twitter account should have some "REAL" moments from you of things that have "NOTHING" to do with cam modeling. This is where you tell everybody all about your food fetish or that 90 degrees reunion concert you just had to go to. The night you spent dancing with your girlfriends. This is where you give people a reason to like something personal about the persona you're branding. Like how much you love coffee or skateboarding. This is where people find out wtf your persona is up to OFF cam. If you're up to nothing then you have to stage something your cam persona would be up to. Really Your social media is not only a place to advertise your videos it's a place to market your brand. And your brand is you (or at least your brand is the girl you're pretending to be online". The guys who give you money consistently want to know more about you they want to be more involved and the fun girl they see on line life. So when you go out to the comic book store to get a new comic people want to see that. Social media isn't just a way to advertise it's a way so stay in touch when your not actively camming. Sure your die hard fans are gonna say they love it but you're not gonna get any new fans. Keep in mind twitter youtube & instagram are all bigger then mfc so reach out to those people and if just 1 in 1000 start to follow you there that could translate into lots of tokens. Your instagram should be full of SFW stuff as should your facebook and youtube. Your youtube account should have you doing and saying stuff other youtube lovers would love and they should all have a link back to your twitter (where you can be more risque) account that should have a link back to your MFC page. That won't happen if your page just has spam saying buy my video. Top models know this already. Don't believe me check out some of the top models twitter page, and keep in mind some of them are even doing this wrong.... Next is branch out. You need to go to conventions and if you did everything I said before this step you'll have the money for it. It'll be like a vacation, but keep your eye on the prize. You are there to build your brand. Talk to other models, talk to fans take pictures make videos do the tours of the town you're in have fun but get it all on video. See if someone wants to do a cam team up with you. That's called cross promotion by the way.You are spreading your camgirl wings and soaring at this point. Those conventions and any trip outta your hometown are the perfect time to get stock footage of you that you can use in a large number of ways. Like making meme and GIFs making intro credits to your videos. And here is some "Secret Sauce" you get just for reading all this. ifriends dot com is one of the older cam modeling sites they have lots of years in the industry. Since MFC & CB came on the scene they haven't done so well but don't worry about that. They are still making models lots of money because of a unique pay out promotion they do. 100% pay out for their fan club(that's right anyone you get to join your ifriends fan club the site will let you keep 100% of what's spent on your fan club). Their fan club is basically your own paysite without the hassle of setting up your own paysite. It could take weeks or even months to set one up on your own if you don't have the know how and if you do you can still use theirs and your at the same time. Best part is since MFC & CB have come on the cam modelling scene ifriends has had much lower traffic then pre MFC & CB. This is a good thing for you because you can broadcast your live streams on both sites without having to be too overwhelmed. If you take the time to learn the ifriends network and interface broadcasting on a site like MFC and ifriends at the same time should be easy. Where broadcasting on MFC & CB can be a challenge because if you did the things I said you should have plenty of traffic in your room and broadcasting on CB should draw in lots of traffic.That could be a problem if you get so busy you ignore one site to long it's so busy in both places. I hate when modles try to work those 2 sites because 1 site always get the short end of the stick. ifriends set up is very different from MFC's everybody who see you broadcasting live is "Paying". If you are online on their site a member can only see you by paying upfront. They put you behind a blurry pay wall. I think the best way to work it would be wait until your pretty sure your gonna make your MFC cum show (you should turn your mfc tipping sound off if they can figure out what site you're on then they will leave and may come to mfc to watch you for free), and then login to ifriends. Get excited the ifriends guys can hear you even if they can't see you. Let your excitement be apparent because honestly most of the models on ifriends are bummed out and kinda down because of the low traffic to the site most models on there are lucky if 1 guy comes in. You should be able to draw some members in because your so pumped you're about to do and awesome cum show that the mfc members already paid for and any ifriends members that want to see what all the excitement is about will now have to pay $2.99-$5.99 a minute to see. Don't forget to say hi to those guys and welcome them to the fun, but honestly ifriends members are pretty happy something is happening that they are pretty mellow so you shouldn't have to give them much special attention. Their fan club feature gives u the ability to post videos, pictures, have a 900 number, and do live web cam streams for fan club members only. If you do 1 special web cam stream for those who join your fan club you're gonna get what's known as recurring billing from those guys every month who are you fans. MFC members who are your fans should be easy to convert to your ifriends fan club because those guys already like the work you do with exclusive videos & pics you "ONLY" post on your fan club site it will be like having extra access to you factor that in with with the 900 number (that you can make $5.99 a min on and the once a week or month exclusive fan club shows), and ifriends is the perfect mfc companion. Like I said you get 100% payout from people who join using your link. That means post your ifriends link on twitter on youtube and everyone who signs up using it is giving you 100% payout that's more payout then MFC gives btw. ifriends is the perfect companion site to MFC, but you really have to make a good mfc base to see the benefit of it. That's some secret sauce most don't know about. Most models if they are broadcasting 2 sites at once are doing MFC & CB or MFC and streamate. But ifriends has a much better fan club option then any where else (hell MFC doesn't have that option) they have low traffic and they really depend on models to bring in new guys. So for a cam model who did everything I said do for about 1 year you should have enough members following to get a few guys willing to sign up to ifriends and that could equal lots of money in your account Keep this in mind if your fanclub your manyvids and your mfcshare all have the same videos and pictures then someone only needs to join one of them but if they all have different content and lots of it you should be able to get some cross site traffic. You should even post free preview videos and teasers that are about 2-3 minutes long and free pics maybe five from a set that don't show all the goods but hint at how much more sexy the pics get. If you did what I said and made content and held some back and you're keeping up with making new content you should have a thriving ifriends fan club in no time .... Finally let me leave you with this. This is a good guide to work with but you will have to tweak it and make it work you will have to find the right combinations of social media, video content, chat room time to get it just right. If something your doing right now is working really well don't cut it out add to it. Oh and I almost forgot this part use all your tools. MFC has a video hosting site has charlesbot has the whiteboard has camyou has room helper. Use those things you're a one person army so let every tool at your disposal be a tool you use to to win your cam war. I would even say get a mfc members account. I know a way to make money there if I was a cam model do you? One last thing and this really might be the thing that makes you or breaks you. When you broadcast live from your chat room get and stay active. Be upbeat and stay that way. Trust me the reason you're having such a hard time attracting people to your room is you look so bored. You gotta get upbeat active and looking like everything is going perfect. Staying active is secret the top models won't tell you but is the reason they all have stripper polls. It's not cause they are great pole dancers (some are) or were strippers (so were) it was like a security blanket for when they were first figuring out their room. They knew they had to be high energy go getters. So every so often they would randomly strut across the room and twirl on the poll. Most of those girls don't use their polls anymore but they still stay active and upbeat.
