About Me:
Careers in military, defense and civil service; was callsign Zulu Whisky in Desert Storm while in an Anti-Air warfare roll and Zulu Foxtrot in Desert Shield providing the tactical radar and datalink picture over the Gulf. Also detected and reported SCUD missile launches from Iraq into Saudi Arabia using the AEGIS SPY-1 radar which now provides the US and its allies with a short and medium range Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) capability we did not have previously. Pretty cool to have been recognized by the Missile Defense Agency with their Pathfinder Award in 2021.

Craziest Thing I've Ever Done:
You can find a lot of crazy things to do while traveling around the world. In some places, crazy will also find you. Still, the craziest thing was that I Challenged the beast despite knowledge of the consequences.

OCD can be both a blessing and a curse. It has given me interesting talents that allowed me to be a successful high school dropout with a comfortable, though early, retirement from professional life.
The downside of OCD is that, when combined with a military life with frequent moves and constant travel all over the world for months at a time, my personal relationships have suffered. With PTSD comes agoraphobia, so I stay close to home except for necessary trips away as driving is a trigger (and I have a lead foot and quick temper- bad combo's while driving).

If you can get past the fact that I'm old and retired, have combat-PTSD and a genetic form of OCD, I am a regular guy trying to shift into low gear after an exciting career. This and living life alone means finding companionship where I can and, as you might understand, with the issues I have, I don't get out much which really narrows my options to meet anyone.
