I used to attend college in hopes of becoming an English teacher and had enjoyed classical literature such as studying Shakespeare and Anglo-Saxon literature but had gotten rather burnt out and stopped reading recreationally for a few years. Some of my favorite books that I try to do annually are Fahrenheit 451,LOTR, and Dracula.
Favorite Songs:
I tend to have a wide but unique range I've been told, you can catch me listening to anything from indie folk, alternative ,indie punk, rap, pop punk and rock or just neat stuff I find from various decades. I tend to be a playlist gal vs a discography gal so typically a few songs from a wide range of musicians.
Favorite Movies:
I don't tend to be much of a movie person but I enjoy LOTR, Coraline, Little Shop of Horrors, RHPS. I like watching things with beautiful hand drawn animation and claymation like older Disney films and Laika Studio.Then on the other end of the spectrum, I enjoy psychological thriller- esque and weird films such as Berberian Sound Studio and Saltburn.
There isn't a space for tv shows but I tend to find alot of comfort from shows like Adventure Time, Steven Universe, ATLA, King of the Hill, Futurama and OG Twin Peaks (I have yet to watch the movie or follow up series).
If I Could Be Anywhere Right Now:
The beach, any beach. I've only gone a handful of times but I really love it, toes in sand, eyes on the horizon. Otherwise, I also just love pretty nature in general and love going out in the woods.
Hobbies:
I enjoy miniature painting for table top role playing games or just random cool miniatures I find.I play a little DnD although I'd like to get into 40k. I like to go out thrifting and looking at cool old stuff. I try to take frequent forest trips. I casually play video games. I prefer to play solo story driven games although I used to play enjoy a touch of COD, LOL and WOW back in the day. Some of my favorite game series include Bioshock, Dishonored, Fallout and Metro.
Talents:
I'm praised for my beginner mini-painting skills and I'm told I sing good but I'm shy about it but trying to get better about it. I also tend to be, on the rare occasion, a pretty good baker.
Perfect Mate:
I value someone that is honest above all else, loyal and gentle-natured. Compassionate and impassioned for noble reasons. Perfect mate is sort of a silly term to me though as I find more perfection in admitting flaws and being willing and capable of growth both independently and together.
Perfect Date:
I always love a good walk around in nature for several hours followed by a lovely dinner. I enjoy museums when I can or also love sitting in and doing art with someone, watching movies, playing games with them. Occasionally, I like to go watch stage productions when I can.
