Interests & Hobbies
Meaning of Life:
Not sure I have a good answer for this one although I do think it's important to encourage & support friends & family & do what we can to help others & just be good & civil with each other. I know any time I can make someone smile/laugh or help them in some way, it makes me feel good.
Five Things I Can't Live Without:
The obvious answers are water, food, clothing & shelter but we ALL need those. Losing a parent/close friend would be very sad but we all lose loved ones throughout our lives.
My dog Tohbi is the one thing in my daily life that would be hard to live without. I've had her since she was a pup (a little over a year) & she's my constant companion. She is on my heels with every step, literally following me EVERYWHERE, & sleeps curled up against me every night.
Everything else I think I could adjust to not having pretty quickly, although no acess to TV or computer (either one) would be boring initially (even without internet). As long as I can have SOME level of interaction I can stay occupied quite awhile.
Favorite Books:
I don't read much so when I do, it HAS to be a subject that really interests me and/or can hold my attention. I'm too easily distracted/occupied by the computer or TV.
The last book I read was The Last Lecture by the late Randy Pausch, an inspirational look at overcoming obstacles, achieving dreams & living life to the fullest, while facing his own mortality.
I like to read about history, especially Civil War & true life crime/conspiracy books (Ex, OJ Simpson, JonBenet Ramsey, JFK) .
What I Like To Do For Fun:
PC/online games (DC Universe Online, Ever Quest, Facebook games, fantasy football & baseball), play with my dog, watch TV, tex/chat with friends.
Favorite Songs:
I used to work at a radio station that originally played country, then switched to Top 40/Adult Contemporary. I grew up in the 70s & 80s so my music tastes are somewhat varied. My all time fave though is anything by KISS, who I've seen in concert 6 times. I've also seen artists from Rod Stewart & Elton John to Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Lepard & Alice Cooper. As long as it's pop/rock it's likely something I listen to. I may be from the south but I HATE country (unless its pop/country like Taylor Swift, etc.) & bluegrass. I'm also not into thrash or anything really hard edged although I'd listen to that over country.
Favorite Movies:
Don't watch many movies. My faves are likely ones from the 80s or earlier. A few faves include: Bill & Ted, Breakfast Club, Willy Wonka, any Scooby Doo animated movie or most Disney movies. I also like horror/suspense movies.
Craziest Thing I've Ever Done:
Hmm, have to think about that one.
If I Could Be Anywhere Right Now:
With that special girl enjoying being together & doing whatever makes us both happy.
Hobbies:
PC/video games. I'm a Civil War buff but haven't read any books lately or done any metal detecting for relics. I have a nice little collection of relics though. I also have a few coins but nothing major, mostly just the state quarters.
Talents:
I can lick my eyebrows :-P
Perfect Mate:
A girl who is an open book, honest, caring, down to earth. I like laughing, being silly, having fun. Not a party animal but also not a couch potato.
Although I do think there has to be a physical attraction, looks aren't the only thing 'physical'. How she treats me, how we interact with each other, the ability to communicate (as well as listen), are all important aspects.
Perfect Date:
As long as we both have a great time it doesn't matter what we do. I enjoy going out to a nice restaurant or to a movie or going for a drive & enjoying the local scenery just as much as I do staying home to cook an awesome meal, curling up for TV or a movie, playing cards/board games or just talking.
Turn Ons/Offs:
Turn ons - A great smile/laugh, bright/sparkling eyes, open minded, fun, a little spontaneous
Turn-offs: Conceit, close-minded, unwilling to communicate or compromise,
Best Reason to Get to Know Me:
Talk to me & find out :-)
